Toki no kawa wo koete – Ushirogami Hikaretai

This is the only Ushirogami Hikaretai song i post. They do have other songs, quite good ones, but not today. Here’s its video. I think it’s its video. It’s just them singing on top of a volcano in harsh wind, getting particles and who knows but a vulcanologist what else blown into their eyes. Enjoy.

Toki no kawa wo koete- Ushirogami Hikaretai

Here’s a video of them singing it live. You may notice Shizuka, the girl in red, to be a far better singer than the other two, and it was her that would rise to be one of Japan’s biggest ever and most defining pop idols once this was all over. I’ve wondered how they functioned as a group behind the scenes with such disparity in talent, but judging from this video i’m sure they had nothing but fun, and were nothing but supportive of each other.

Toki no kawa wo koete- Ushirogami Hikaretai

Not Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi, Ushirogami Hikaretai were again an Onyanko Club subgroup, but one that formed towards the end of and continued after Onyanko Club’s being. And they were a three-member group, not two. Kudo Shizuka, Ikuina Akiko and Saito Makiko – Onyanko Club member numbers 38, 40 and 42, though that lost its significance once they set out on their own, especially Shizuka who succeeded and soared so incredibly out, apart and up from her Onyanko image. The three wildest eyebrows in the Club. And to keep the Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi comparisons, Ushirogami Hikaretai’s songs were a lot more modern, cooler, louder, drum and bass heavy, and less gimmicky than the Yuyuu-Mamiko duo, though their songs were no less used on anime soundtracks. This was from High School! Kimengumi, which i think every song featured in was Onyanko Club related.
