When the going gets tough, the tough gets going – Billy Ocean

Then again, there really is no order to this at all. It’s just a bunch of crazy stuff that happens – a bunch of random songs that come up at this certain interval. More songs should take their titles from depression era quotes. Maybe it’s an 80’s thing.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going – Billy Ocean

Featuring Danny Devito on saxophone. Not really. I have figured out, through this happening again and again, that it takes two days for a song for a song to resurface in my head. It’s not the song from the night before, but from the night before that. I would have expected this yesterday. With the frequency that this happens, i should have expected it today.

Carribean Queen

Carribean Queen (No more love on the run) – Billy Ocean

When i was a kid for some reason i thought Billy Ocean and Billy Idol were linked as direct competitors in the pop world/marketplace, both associated with each other, coming from the same place, and targeting the same sets of ears. You were either an Ocean person or an Idol person. I don’t know why i thought this, or i do, based on (adopted) first name, yet don’t know why Billy Joel or Billy Squier weren’t in the equation. Anyway, this is a better song than anything Billy Idol ever did (all four songs i’ve heard) so place me in the Ocean camp.
