Oasis – Peru

Small bands on small labels with small reach from a time when the world was too big for music like this, finding way to me when the world became significantly smaller and we can now blanketly dredge up everything. And the world shrinking and catching up has renewed or perhaps for the first time brought interest in the band, and Peru obviously felt this (or capitulated to the bugging emails of those who are brazen and squeaky-wheeled enough to do things like that) as they last year reformed after 18 years.

I haven’t heard any of their new stuff, and don’t mean to begrudge them their want to be a band again, but the two songs i own of them are so perfect and enough for me that anything more might be damaging. It’s just bands reforming don’t usually have the best track records. We all know that.
