Blushing girl, nervous smile – The Wallflowers

I think i’ve already said everything i’ll ever be able to say about this song. The amount of times it’s in my head outside of my wake up second means it will doubtlessly come again, so i don’t know what fun and amusing thing i’ll write then. I still like this song a lot, but if i’m burdened to talk about it much more i don’t know how i’ll come to feel about it.

I knew this would happen. No matter how much i tried to rid myself of it it stuck with me all yesterday and until i went to bed, so this was expected. It’s that guitar! Now it’s just a matter of me turning on it. So what’s the boy doing while this girl apparently blushes and smiles nervously? How does she feel? What self-determination does she have? History to those men who get to tell it.

The prettiest guitar line ever. Who knows or cares what else happens in this song, just as long as that guitar returns three or four more times. It does. Thank you for knowing how to write a song, Wallflowers who are not the same as Bob Dylan’s son’s.
