This is just excellent. From what i can make out, with my limited grasp of French, is that that deep male voice is reprimanding Chantal for her lack of responsibility and work ethic, dolling out admonitions for her to fall in the line of drudgery and possibly telling her to take that bow out of her hair. Chantal is the embodiment of teenage rebellion and the awareness that there are better things to do with one’s time. Dancing. Singing. Refusal. There are probably words and nuances i am missing in what i’m barely translating, but this is how i choose to believe it, how i choose to adapt it and keep Chantal Kelly on my side.
