Call me maybe – Carly Rae Jepsen
This is my first time hearing this. I’ve pieced it enough together over the years from the ubiquity it’s found in, but in pieces it has never even approached something that could cause the frenzy it did. All at once, and hey you know this is pretty good. There’s a directness and simplicity that gets it exactly to where it needs to, stirred with such fun and excitement that at once destines it getting there, but then seems no big deal if it doesn’t. And it seems so prone to date (it already seems to have), so nostalgia capturing, that it’s a preformed soundtrack to someone’s time passed. It probably already is for many.
