No one will ever love you – The Magnetic Fields
Apparently this is meant to sound like Fleetwood Mac’s Tusk – the entire album, all at once, boiled down, it’s essence in one three minute song. Of course it’s a reference and cultural touchstone this sheltered life of mine precludes me from getting, so i’ll have to take their word for it. Someone who knows about things should tell me how accurate a nutshell that reference is.
I don’t think i’ve ever even heard a full Fleetwood Mac song, at least not one played by the band themselves. This song makes we wish i had the education, but do these three minutes stretch out with every encapsulated thing that’s great about them intact? Will i ever bother to find out? Probably not. Not by myself, at least. Oh well. I love this song. I love everything.
